Featured Artist: Karen of Chocolate Dog Studio

Since I started my shop on Etsy, I've met a lot of wonderful artists from participating in the artists communities there. Karen is a fellow member of the Christian Artists Street Team (CAST) on Etsy. Her shop is called Chocolate Dog Studio.

Karen makes all sorts of items many of which are made from upcycled materials. In her shop you will find beautifully crocheted scarves and shawls, cup cozies, hats and pincushions, but my favorite items she makes are definitely the one of a kind purses!

You know you want one of those purses for summer ☺

Polished

It's fun to play with new toys.  I got this rock tumbler for my son for Christmas. We finally broke it out today and used it to polish a batch of gemstone and spiraled metal wire post earrings that I made.

This is the metal shot that you fill the tumbler with. It does the work of polishing. It has different shapes to get into all the nooks and crannies.

Look how they gleam!

Foolish Friday

Knock, knock !
Who's there ?
Water.
Water who ?
Water way to answer the door !
A recent drawing by my son, Caleb. I'm not sure why my Air Force brat is drawing a Navy picture, but his great grandfather will be proud. There is a giant peeking over the ship, the sun, the moon, a big bird, a missile and I'm not quite sure what else. He's eight.
